This project was to dismantle 2 boilers that were not in service anymore for a warehouse in Newark NJ.
The larger boiler was approximately 18' long and had to be cut into sections large enough to fit through a single man door and removed with a forklift.
Special care was taken to avoid large pieces from falling and hitting the surrounding walls when they could not be cut into small pieces. Safety masks and suits were necessary because of the asbestos in the insulation and fire bricks.
This small boiler was removed from the same room as the large one. It was approximately 12' long.
With the steel removed, we dismantled the bricks.
With the steel safely out of the way, the only thing left was the bricks.
